Step 1: Settle down
Upon arrival, look for a seat. Lotto shows can get crowded, so it’s essential to find a spot early.
Sitting near the front and center offers a clear view of the stage and allows you to hear the announcer better. If you’re with friends or family, try to find seats together to enhance the shared experience.
While you are waiting, you can buy some snacks and drinks to further enjoy the show.
Step 2: Buy tickets
Purchase one or more Lotto tickets. The performers will go around the stage to give them to you. Remember that tickets are sold and used for that round only. When the new round comes, there will be new tickets.
Each ticket contains a grid of numbers. You’ll need a marker or pen to mark the numbers on your ticket as they are called out.
Step 3: Check and understand your tickets
After purchasing the Lotto Show tickets, you should understand how the tickets work. Each card typically features a grid of numbers. The layout and number range can vary depending on the specific rules of the show. But for most Lotto shows, the layout will be:
- There are 60 numbers in total, ranging from 1 to 60.
- The ticket is divided into 6 columns, each containing a specific range of numbers.
- The numbers within each column are arranged randomly.
Each column will have:
- Column 1: Contains numbers from 1 to 10.
- Column 2: Contains numbers from 11 to 20.
- Column 3: Contains numbers from 21 to 30.
- Column 4: Contains numbers from 31 to 40.
- Column 5: Contains numbers from 41 to 50.
- Column 6: Contains numbers from 51 to 60.
If all of the numbers in any row hit, you will be the winner.
Step 4: The game starts
The game begins with the announcer, often a performer, who will draw and call out numbers randomly. During this time, expect humorous and engaging commentary from the announcer, which is a signature element of the lotto experience.
Pay close attention to the numbers being called. Announcers might use playful or cryptic descriptions, so familiarity with common phrases and jokes can be helpful. When a number on your ticket is called, mark it clearly.
For English speakers, you may find it difficult to understand as most Lotto Shows speak Vietnamese only. But don’t worry, there will be 2 ways to work this out:
- On the main stage screen, the numbers will appear until there is a winner
- You can bring a friend, or book a Lotto Show Tour to help you with the language difference
Step 5: Find the winner
Once you’ve marked all the numbers in the winning pattern, double-check your ticket. Please remember that as long as all of the numbers in any row are marked, you will win the round.
Shout “Lotto!” or raise your hand to signal that you’ve won. The announcer or a game assistant will verify your ticket to ensure the numbers are correctly marked and match those called.
If your ticket is verified as a winning ticket, you will be awarded a prize. Prizes can range from small tokens to significant rewards, depending on the show and event.
Step 6: Enjoy the performances between rounds
Between rounds of the lotto game, enjoy the lively performances, which may include singing, dancing, and comedic skits. You can enjoy these even if you are English-speaking.
The performances often reflect local culture and add to the vibrant atmosphere of the Lotto Show. Use this time to relax, socialize, and immerse yourself in the entertainment provided.
