Da Nang Paragliding is chosen to attract tourists on Labor Day 2024
Da Nang has selected paragliding as its featured attraction to entice tourists for Labor Day 2024. In an effort to boost tourism, the city government is promoting this thrilling aerial activity, offering breathtaking views of the coastline and landscapes. This initiative aims to provide visitors with unique experiences and showcase Da Nang’s stunning natural beauty.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Vu, the manager of Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang’s tourist beaches, has announced plans to launch a series of events to promote tourism in Da Nang from April 26 to May 1. These events will take place at East Sea Park, Son Tra Peninsula, and popular beaches like My An and My Khe. Featuring 18 diverse activities, these programs are expected to attract a large number of tourists during the 2024 International Labor Day festivities.
The main activities at East Sea Park and the beaches include an opening ceremony at 5 PM on April 27, kite flying, a food festival, a sand sculpture exhibition, a 2024 beach sports display, a children’s fashion show, an international Da Nang lifesaving competition, swimming and SUP racing, beach soccer, night activities at My An beach, beach games, and group Yoga and Zumba sessions.
On Son Tra Peninsula, activities include Da Nang paragliding experiences, a photo exhibition themed “Moments of Son Tra,” painting exhibitions and workshops on local themes, and tours to observe the endangered red-shanked douc langurs.
Additionally, this year’s program includes environmental and natural resource conservation activities aimed at raising awareness and responsibility among locals and tourists visiting Son Tra Peninsula and Da Nang’s beaches.
One highlighted activity, paragliding over Da Nang, is particularly promoted by the city authorities as an exciting new way to experience the stunning views of the city from an altitude of nearly 700 meters above sea level at Son Tra Peninsula.
