E-visa, in brief.
A Vietnam e-visa is issued online by the Vietnam Immigration Department. It is available to citizens of all countries and territories, for stays of up to 90 days, with single or multiple entry. You apply while outside Vietnam and use an approved border gate.[1][2][12]
Check before you pay for a visa.
Some passports qualify for visa-free tourist stays. Check your passport country and the total days of your visit.

Cutoff times and how urgent processing works
Contact us with your flight deadline and application code so we can confirm the applicable intake cutoff and delivery window. All times are in Vietnam time (UTC+7). These are requested working-day/hour windows, not a countdown from sending this form. Complete documents, cutoff times, weekends/holidays, the application status and Immigration review affect acceptance and timing. Do not travel on an assumed approval.
Have these ready.
Send the request first. We contact you to check your case and collect the documents. Use the same passport for the application and your trip.

Do I need a visa if my passport is visa-free?
Not usually, if your whole visit fits the relevant allowance and you meet its conditions. A longer stay normally needs an appropriate visa. Do not assume you can add extra days to a visa-free stay automatically. Phu Quoc-only exemptions do not cover a mainland trip.
Single or multiple entry: which should I choose?
Single entry is for one visit: it ends when you leave. Choose multiple entry if you plan to leave Vietnam and return during the visa’s validity. Neither choice lets you stay beyond the expiry date printed on the e-visa.[3]
When should I apply, and is approval guaranteed?
Apply well before your departure. Our normal option is usually 3–7 working days, but corrections or additional checks can take longer. Urgent requests must be accepted first. No service can replace the Immigration Department’s decision; airlines also check your travel documents.
What must I check on the issued e-visa?
Your full name, passport number, date of birth, nationality, entry/exit validity dates and entry type. If anything is wrong, contact us before travelling. Do not assume an issued visa can be edited immediately or that urgent support will fix every case.
What should I bring, and can I use any border gate?
Bring your valid passport and a printed e-visa. Use a border gate on the government’s approved list; check your application and planned port before booking. Have at least six months’ passport validity at arrival and enough blank pages; ask us first if your passport situation differs.[2][8]
Can I apply or extend an e-visa while in Vietnam?
This application service is for travellers outside Vietnam. Do not rely on extending or renewing your e-visa from inside the country. A different visa route may require a sponsor and a separate Immigration process.[2][3][8]
What happens if the application is refused?
The government e-visa fee is not refunded if an application is refused. Tell us about previous refusals or repeated errors before payment so we can check the appropriate next step.[3]
Tell us what you need.
For applicants outside Vietnam. One request for one applicant; for a group, tell us the number of travellers in the notes. Fields marked * are required.
