An October 23 Hanoi program set out cooperation plans among Hanoi, Beijing and Guangxi, alongside two specific travel-policy measures.
The China Cultural Center in Hanoi held the Beijing–Guangxi–Hanoi Cultural and Tourism Exchange Program on October 23, during the Vietnam–China Tourism Cooperation Year 2026–2027. Nguyen Thi Hoa Mai, deputy director general of Vietnam’s National Authority of Tourism, said the program gave public agencies and travel businesses an opportunity to exchange experience and seek partnerships.

Truong Duc Son, director of the China Cultural Center in Hanoi, said organizers aim to build regular cooperation among Hanoi, Beijing and Guangxi and develop cross-border itineraries. The program set route development as a cooperation goal; it did not give a named itinerary or launch date.
The event also highlighted two travel policies. China has extended visa-free transit to 240 hours across 24 provinces. Vietnam is piloting a visa exemption for Chinese tour groups visiting Khanh Hoa Province for stays of up to 30 days.
