Two electric double-decker sightseeing buses began operating in Ho Chi Minh City on October 20. The city branch of Vietnam Sightseeing JSC introduced the vehicles on its central-city service, with ticket prices unchanged for now.

The sightseeing service has operated in the city since 2015. City Sightseeing Saigon runs two routes through central Ho Chi Minh City and Cho Lon, with around 10 hop-on, hop-off stops. The operator will initially prioritize central routes for its two new electric vehicles.
The company has stated a goal of converting its entire sightseeing fleet to electric vehicles before 2030.
Ho Chi Minh City also plans a low-emission-zone pilot in the center and Thu Thiem area from 2028. Under the proposed roadmap, clean-energy requirements would apply in those zones by 2040 and across the city, including specialized vehicles, by 2045.
