Hue Photographer Recovers Visitor’s Phone from Imperial Citadel Lake
A photographer at Hue’s Imperial Citadel recovered an international visitor’s phone from Kim Thuy Lake on October 20.
An international visitor’s phone fell into Kim Thuy Lake by Hue’s Imperial Citadel on October 20, 2026. A member of Hue’s heritage-site photography team went into the water and recovered it after more than five minutes; the phone was waterproof and still working, the team manager said.

The group had arrived after 8 a.m. and stopped to take photographs near Ngo Mon Gate. The visitor became distressed and wanted to enter the lake, so the guide reassured him while the photographer searched.
The visitor received his phone back.
