Hue Plans Training and Joint Inspections for Smoke-Free Tourism Spaces
Hue’s tourism department plans staff training and coordinated inspections to support smoke-free accommodation and visitor spaces.
Hue’s tourism authorities plan further staff training and joint inspections as part of efforts to develop smoke-free accommodation and visitor spaces.

Nguyen Huy Hien, deputy director of the Hue Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, said the city would continue guiding tourism businesses and attractions on implementing tobacco-control plans. The department also intends to coordinate training on tobacco harms and relevant legal provisions.
A proposed intersectoral team would supervise compliance and handle violations in places where smoking is prohibited. The report describes planned coordination; it does not announce a new blanket smoking ban across Hue.
Ha Van Sieu, deputy director of the Vietnam National Authority of Tourism, urged businesses to turn training into practical plans, guide staff and guests, and maintain regular checks. He presented smoke-free environments as a service-quality standard within broader efforts to develop sustainable destinations.
