Reasons

The reason for this sudden closure of Independence Palace is for the Ellie Fashion Show 2023.

The Ellie Fashion Show 2023, themed “Intersection of Fashion and Architecture,” was held at the historic Independence Palace in Ho Chi Minh City on December 20, 2023. It featured 100 new designs by Vietnamese designers Trương Thanh Hải, Lưu Việt Anh, Ngô Hoàng Kha, and an Indonesian fashion brand. The show emphasized the connection between architecture and fashion, displaying designs that were environmentally friendly and sustainable. The main stage was set up at the central fountain area of Independence Palace, and the show ran from 15:30 to 17:30. In addition to the fashion show, there was also a week-long exhibition on fashion, architecture, and technology from December 21 to 27 at De La Sol in District 3, Ho Chi Minh City.
