Malaysian Hiker Rescued After Fall Into Hole on Hon Bo Mountain
A Malaysian hiker was rescued from a roughly 10-meter hole on Hon Bo Mountain in Da Lat and taken to hospital with an initial right-ankle injury.
A Malaysian hiker was rescued on October 25 after falling into a narrow hole about 10 meters deep on Hon Bo Mountain in Da Lat. She was taken to hospital for emergency treatment; initial assessments found an injury to her right ankle.

The rescue at Hon Bo
The fall happened at around 5:45 a.m. on a pine-covered hillside in the Hon Bo area. The report says the hiker’s companions and others at the scene could not pull her out. Police from Lam Vien–Da Lat Ward, Lam Dong provincial police and other rescue units brought her to safety at around 7:15 a.m.
What authorities said about the trails
Authorities urged hikers to take care in foggy or rainy conditions that can reduce visibility, choose safe routes, travel in groups and tell relatives about their plans. The report describes one rescue at Hon Bo; it does not establish a broader safety trend for Da Lat.
