Fines and reported violations

Tam Meo seafood on Tran Phu Street was fined VND2 million after inspectors found harmful pests in its food-preparation area. The Local 2, also on Tran Phu Street, received a VND10 million fine for a risk of cross-contamination between raw and cooked food and for breaching three-step food-inspection regulations.

Other cases cited by officials included a VND2 million fine for Dang Van Quyen Ninh Hoa grilled pork rolls because staff were not wearing protective gear; a VND4 million fine for Ha chicken rice for failing to retain required food samples; and a VND12.5 million fine for Nguyen Loan Eatery for operating without a food-safety certificate. On Tri Nguyen Island, several businesses were fined for lacking certificates issued for water-based food facilities.

Restaurants in Nha Trang were fined a combined VND169 million for safety violations in the first nine months of 2026. Local officials also said enforcement staff are limited relative to the number of businesses they monitor, while tracing meat through traditional-market supply chains remains difficult.
