Phong Nha-Ke Bang Wins Two World Travel Awards 2026 Titles
Phong Nha-Ke Bang took two 2026 World Travel Awards titles; the repeat recognition does not change park access or excursion conditions.
Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park has won two 2026 World Travel Awards: Asia’s Leading National Park and Vietnam’s Leading Nature Destination. The awards were presented at the Asia, Oceania and Indian Ocean ceremony in the Maldives on September 27, according to VOV and the park’s management board.

A repeat recognition, not a change to park access
This is the second time the park has received both titles. The World Travel Awards’ 2026 winners list confirms Phong Nha-Ke Bang in the regional national-park category; VOV reports that it also took Vietnam’s national nature-destination title. The awards add visibility to a destination known for karst scenery, cave systems and underground rivers, but they do not certify that every tour, route or visitor facility meets a particular standard.
For travelers weighing a nature-focused stop in central Vietnam, the news is a current signal of international recognition—not an announcement of new openings, prices or operating hours. The park’s management board framed conservation as central to tourism development, so visitors should treat the recognition as a reason to learn about the destination, not as a substitute for checking the conditions of a specific excursion.
