Phu Quoc Ranks First in U.S., Second in U.K. 2026 Island Lists
Phu Quoc led the U.S. edition’s 2026 Asia island list and placed second in the U.K. edition’s separate ranking.
Phu Quoc ranked first in Asia in the U.S. edition of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice island list, with 95.26 points. In the U.K. edition of Condé Nast Traveller’s separate Asia list, it placed second with 98.26, behind Palawan at 98.99. Both results were announced on October 6.

Two editions, two scorecards
These are separate reader-voted lists, not one combined world ranking. The U.S. edition put Phu Quoc ahead of Boracay and Palawan in Asia; the U.K. edition placed Palawan first and Phu Quoc second. The different results reflect each publication’s own poll and scoring.
The rankings add a recent international recognition for Vietnam’s largest island, but they do not predict conditions at a particular beach, resort or travel date. Visitors should still choose their area and activities around their own itinerary and preferences.
