Officials Plan Safety Barriers at Quang Ninh’s Da Chong Mountain
A social media video shows visitors climbing stacked rocks at Da Chong Mountain. Local officials say they have contacted forest managers to coordinate barriers and warnings; the site is not officially designated as a tourist attraction.
A social media video showing tourists climbing stacked rock formations at Da Chong Mountain in Quang Ninh has drawn widespread attention. The report describes rocks jutting out above a deep valley, without sturdy railings or protective systems at the spots used for photos.

Da Chong Mountain is not officially designated as a tourist attraction, and trekking, climbing and photography there have largely been spontaneous activities.
Local authorities said last weekend that they had contacted the forest management unit and neighboring localities to coordinate barriers and warn people against climbing or taking photos in the area. The barriers were still at the coordination stage.
