Quang Tri Plans Culture and Tourism Week for November 24–30
Quang Tri is planning a November culture and tourism week with an opening programme at Phong Nha-Ke Bang and balloon events at two historic sites.
Quang Tri’s provincial government is planning a Culture and Tourism Week for November 24–30, 2026, with an opening programme at Phong Nha-Ke Bang and hot-air-balloon events at two historic sites. The provincial schedule describes these dates as expected, so travellers should confirm details closer to the trip before making event-specific plans.

The plan, discussed at a provincial meeting on October 6, gives the week the theme “Splendours of a Land of Wonders.” The opening ceremony and an art programme are planned for the area of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park in Phong Nha commune on November 24.
Events are planned across several locations
The proposed hot-air-balloon festival is split between two heritage sites: November 25–26 at Quang Tri Ancient Citadel, then November 27–28 along the southern bank of the Hien Luong–Ben Hai special national relic site. Cultural and food activities are also planned in Ben Hai commune, Quang Tri ward and Dong Hoi ward. A mobile film week is expected to bring screenings to mountainous communes.
The first Quang Tri Singing Festival’s final round is listed for November 19 in Dong Hoi ward, before the Culture and Tourism Week begins. These are separate dates in the provincial programme.
For visitors, the announced programme is not centred on a single venue: the opening and balloon events are planned for different parts of the province. Check the final programme, access arrangements and transport between locations with local authorities before fixing an itinerary; the published schedule is still described as expected.
