One of our most heartwarming and memorable Saigon food tours recently was with a special group of 8 French elders, all eager to discover the true taste of Saigon.

We recently had a fantastic night with a lovely group of 8 French seniors who joined our Saigon Scooter Food Tour. From the very beginning, their energy was amazing! They were curious, cheerful, and excited to ride through the busy streets of Ho Chi Minh City to taste the best local food.

Each person sat on the back of a scooter, safely driven by one of our friendly local guides. We made sure everyone felt comfortable and secure, and off we went into the night!

🍽 First stop – Vietnamese pancakes and fresh spring rolls
We started with bánh xèo – crispy pancakes filled with pork, shrimp, and bean sprouts. Everyone got hands-on making their own rolls with herbs and rice paper. It was fun and delicious!

🔥 Second stop – Street BBQ
Next, we stopped at a local BBQ stall. We grilled pork skewers, chicken wings, and seafood right at the table. The smoky flavor and dipping sauces were a big hit. One of our guests said, “I didn’t expect this to be so tasty!”

🍜 Third stop – Noodle time!
Then we went to a noodle shop to try bún thịt nướng – cold noodles with grilled pork, fresh herbs, and fish sauce. Simple, fresh, and full of flavor. The group really enjoyed eating like the locals.

🍻 Fourth stop – Cheers to Saigon!
We sat down with some local drinks – Saigon beer and sugarcane juice – and raised a glass to a great evening. There were laughs, stories, and lots of “cheers” in both French and Vietnamese!

🍧 Last stop – Sweet treats
We ended with dessert – coconut ice cream and chè, a sweet local treat with jelly, beans, and coconut milk. Everyone left full and happy.

The group loved seeing real Saigon at night – the lights, the people, the scooters everywhere. They felt safe and well looked after the whole time. Even though some hadn’t been on a scooter in years, they said it was one of the best things they did in Vietnam.
