At 7:30 AM, our tour guide will come with a private A/C car to pick you up at your hotel. It will take 30-45 minutes to leave Ho Chi Minh City center and arrive at Binh Khanh Ferry. This ferry is the only connection between the urban sites of HCMC and Can Gio District, which we will visit.
We highly recommend that you go to the toilet before the tour, as there may be traffic jams at Binh Khanh Ferry and it may cause inconvenience in case you need to go.
During the time on the ferry through the river, our tour guide will tell you stories about the life of local people here before we enter Can Gio.
Saying goodbye to the traffic jam at Binh Khanh Ferry, you will enjoy 23 kilometers of Rung Sac – the most beautiful road in Can Gio – where the sceneries will change 100% from urban to a green, breathtaking forest one. After about 30 minutes on this road, we will stop at Can Gio Mangrove Biosphere Reserve Center, and get on a speedboat for a new journey on the river.
Here comes the most exciting part of our Private Can Gio Tour by Speedboat & Car (Less Touristy): enjoying the view & local life on the river by speedboat. You will continuously spend about 15 minutes on the speedboat before we arrive at the Bat Swamp.
Temporarily getting off the speedboat, you will visit the Bat Swamp, or Bat Reservation Island, to explore the life of wild bats in Can Gio for about 30-40 minutes. You will travel on a rowing boat through the beautiful mangrove forest to the territory of the bats. Please stay quiet when coming close to the territory, and keep in mind that we can only observe the bats from afar, as getting closer may disturb the animals.
Leaving the Bat Swamp, our speedboat will take you to Vam Sat, an island of Can Gio to explore the Monkey Island, the Crocodile Swamp, and the Bird Reservation Area. Here we will take a walk or travel by electric vehicle/ car.
At the Crocodile Swamp, you will explore how this species is reserved in Can Gio and their habitat. Along with the learning, you can also try the Crocodile Fishing activity in a safe boat.

After the nature exploration of Can Gio, our speedboat will take you back (15-20 minutes traveling) to the place where our private car is waiting. From here, we will travel to Can Gio Beach. On the way, we may visit the local salt-making fields (if we are lucky, there will be salt dunes on sunny days, or else it may be nothing but an empty water field).
We will visit a local restaurant with a sea view to enjoy lunch (seafood). In case you have seafood allergies, or are vegan, we will change to a nearby restaurant for you. There are some notes that we want you to know before booking the tour:
After lunch, we will start going back to your hotel. It will take 2 – 2,5 hours depending on the traffic. We will end the tour at your hotel at around 4:00 – 5:00 PM.
