Vietnam and Russia Plan New Tourism Cooperation Talks for Late 2026
A Russian research delegation is expected in Vietnam later this month, with a bilateral tourism working-group meeting planned in Moscow for December.
Russian and Vietnamese tourism officials are planning two more cooperation meetings in late 2026, but the plans do not change current visitor rules or travel services. A Russian Government research delegation is expected in Vietnam later in October for a session with travel companies, and VNAT representatives were invited to a Tourism Working Group meeting scheduled for December 2026 in Moscow.

The October delegation is expected to share research on attracting Vietnamese visitors to Russia. The December meeting is part of a broader effort to increase two-way travel and promotion. These are planned industry discussions, not confirmed new routes, public events, visa changes, or bookable visitor services.
For travelers, there is no new action to take from these announcements. Russian visitors’ existing entry terms for Vietnam and Vietnamese citizens’ entry requirements for Russia remain separate matters; this report does not describe a change to either. Anyone planning a trip should rely on current official entry guidance and their airline or travel provider for operational details.
The reported plans indicate that both sides are continuing to discuss tourism promotion and market cooperation. Whether those talks lead to new visitor options has not yet been announced.
