Police found two foreign visitors near Hang Gio Stream in Da Nang on October 14, 2026, after they became lost while camping.
Two foreign visitors who became lost while camping near Hang Gio Stream in Da Nang City were found by local police on October 14, 2026.

The visitors, an American and a German, had entered the area near Hoa Trung Hamlet in Ba Na Commune. Police found them near the stream by noon on Wednesday, the report said. The men later wrote a letter thanking the rescue teams.
The incident was one of several recent cases involving foreign visitors who needed help in Vietnam. In a separate October 3 incident, a British motorcyclist travelling from Quy Nhon toward Da Nang became stranded on a remote mountain trail after a rock punctured his rear tyre. Local residents alerted commune police, who drove a specialized vehicle to assist him.
In a separate case, a Da Nang volunteer returned a wedding ring to Portuguese honeymooners in Phu Quoc.
The report also recounts earlier cases, including two Dutch visitors rescued in Quang Tri in October 2025. These accounts describe specific responses by local residents and police; they do not establish that every remote route or outdoor excursion is risk-free.
