Krabi Red Light District: Hidden in the nightlife
When you think of nightlife in Krabi, it’s usually all about beach bars, chill reggae tunes, and maybe a fire show or two by the ocean. That’s exactly what you’ll find in Ao Nang.
But is there a red light area in Ao Nang, Krabi?
Technically, there isn’t an official “Ao Nang – Krabi red light district” — unlike in Bangkok or the red light area in Phuket. But there are clusters of bars that act like one. The area near Center Point and the soi behind the Ao Nang Mosque is where most of the freelance and bar girl scene happens.
Don’t expect go-go dancers or ping pong shows. It’s low-key: pool tables, quiet music, and some women who might offer more than just a chat — if you’re both interested.

What to Expect (and What Not To)
If you’re curious, here’s what to expect: lady drinks usually cost 200–250 Baht, and if things go further, it’s all done quietly — no bar fines, just an agreement between you and the girl. Prices vary, but short time typically starts around 2,000 Baht. Some bars may arrange it for you, but most freelancers just hang out and make their own deals.
There’s no wild shows, and no one will chase you down the street. It’s very much a “you ask, they answer” kind of vibe. Respect is key.
Krabi may not shout nightlife the way other places do — but if you know where to look, it whispers just enough. Quiet, relaxed, and a little mysterious. Just like the town itself. If you are looking for something similar but better, check the Chiang Mai red light districts.
