Ninh Binh Tests a Premium Hanoi–Ninh Binh Tourist Train

Ninh Binh and Vietnam Railways tested a premium 14-carriage Hanoi route. The trial itinerary is not a public timetable or booking announcement.

Ninh Binh province and Vietnam Railways tested a premium Hanoi–Ninh Binh tourist journey on September 28 under the theme “Connecting Heritage Regions.” The report describes a trial experience for tourism representatives and visitors, not the start of a regular public service.

The 14-carriage Hanoi 5 Gates cultural train included premium passenger coaches and a restaurant carriage. On the trial day it left Hanoi at 8:30 a.m., reached Ninh Binh at 11 a.m., and took the group to Thung Ui, Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and Tuyet Tinh Coc before returning. Those times describe that programme; they are not a published passenger timetable.

The service chain is still being assessed

Vietnam Railways, tourism officials and travel businesses used the trial to assess onboard service and the onward connection from Ninh Binh Station to visitor sites. That last leg matters: a comfortable train ride alone does not show how easily passengers can reach the attractions after arrival.

The reports provide no public fare, regular departure schedule or booking instructions for this product. Travelers planning Hanoi and Ninh Binh should use currently available transport information rather than treating the trial’s itinerary as an operating service. Any public launch or ticket details would need a separate announcement.
