Two Vietnamese Train Journeys Rank in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Awards
The Central Heritage Connection and The Vietage by Anantara ranked 10th and 14th in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.
Two Vietnam rail journeys placed among the world’s 20 best rail experiences in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards. The Central Heritage Connection between Hue and Da Nang ranked 10th; The Vietage by Anantara ranked 14th.

The Central Heritage Connection has operated since March 2024. Its roughly three-hour trip links Hue and Da Nang, with quiet carriages and two community carriages featuring traditional music and dance performances. The reported one-way fare is around US$11.
The Vietage links Da Nang, Quy Nhon and Nha Trang along the central coast. Its six-hour Da Nang–Quy Nhon journey includes a three-course meal inspired by Vietnamese and French cuisine. On the Quy Nhon–Nha Trang route, passengers are served afternoon tea with local caviar, Vietnamese cheeses and premium teas.
For a separate overnight option, see our report on the upgraded Ho Chi Minh City–Nha Trang sleeper trains.
