At 5:30 PM, our tour guide will pick you up at your hotel to start our Saigon Food Tour by scooter/ vespa/ motorbike (type of vehicle will depend on each tour guide). Each of you will have your own driver, who is licensed and very careful in driving.
For the first stop, we will not try popular noodle dishes like Pho,… but it’s time to try either Grilled Pork Vermicelli Bowl (Bun Thit Nuong), or Hue Beef Noodle Soup (Bun Bo Hue) in a local restaurant. They are both fresh, complex in flavor, and will bring you to heaven without a wing.
Next, we will travel through the local alleys to try 2 more foods: the Vietnamese pancake (banh xeo) and the mini fried pancake (banh khot). Both are Vietnamese specialty (Mekong Delta style). They will be rolled in a mountain of fresh herbs & veggies before into the special sauce.
Our Saigon Food Tour by Scooter/ Vespa/ Motorbike is not just a food tour. There will be plenty of local sightseeing when you are on the back of the vehicle. You will see the real nightlife of Ho Chi Minh City, see what locals do and how they live.
Then we will head to Ho Thi Ky Flower Market – the biggest flower market in the city, where all locals head to buy the flowers for their lives. Then we will walk into the heaven of street food, where you will enjoy 2-4 Vietnamese street food like a local.
At the end of the tour, we will stop at a local shop that was opened in 1975. The place serves Bo Kho (Vietnamese Braised Beef Stew), the most delicious one in the city. This dish even gave the place the award Michelin Bib Gourmand in 2024.
We will end this Saigon food tour with a delicious Coconut Ice Cream, which will please even non-sweettooth.
Before saying goodbye, our tour guide will take you around the local areas for some sightseeing. Then we will drop you off at your hotel. Well, that’s a night to remember!
