Visit Long Tan - Nui Dat
On ANZAC Day in Vietnam, visiting Long Tan – Nui Dat is a way to honor the bravery and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand soldiers who fought in Vietnam.
The Battle of Long Tan (1966) was one of Australia’s most significant and heroic battles, where 108 young soldiers held off over 2,000 enemy troops in torrential rain. Standing at the Long Tan Cross, Luscombe Airfield Nui Dat, 2RAR Memorial,… you feel the weight of history—the courage, the mateship, and the loss. It’s a place of reflection and remembrance, where you can pay respects to those who never made it home.
Of course, it is hard to explore around if there is nobody to tell you the full stories behind the battle. To get that, you can simply book the Battle of Long Tan Tour: Journey of Past & Present. Book it here:

Visiting the Battle of Coral–Balmoral
The Battle of Coral–Balmoral (12 May – 6 June 1968) was Australia’s largest battle of the Vietnam War and a key moment in their involvement. It was a series of fierce engagements between Australian troops and North Vietnamese Army (NVA) forces.
Though it is not as famous as the Battle of Long Tan (and there is not much to see any more), the place is still one of the top things to do during ANZAC Day in Vietnam.
A trip to Cu Chi Tunnels
Visiting the Cu Chi Tunnels on ANZAC Day in Vietnam is a powerful way to reflect on the resilience, sacrifice, and hardships of soldiers—on both sides of the war. These underground tunnels were a lifeline for the Viet Cong, a place where they fought, lived, and endured unimaginable conditions.
For Australian veterans and visitors, standing in these tunnels is a stark reminder of the challenges faced by troops, including those from Australia who fought in Vietnam. It’s a place to honor the courage of all soldiers, remember the cost of war, and appreciate the peace we have today.
However, it is best to visit Ben Duoc instead of Ben Dinh when doing a trip to Cu Chi Tunnel. To book a trip like that, check this:
